Each month, a box arrives with 10 greeting cards, envelopes, postage stamps, and one small analog extra based on that month's theme. Everything needed is there, so when someone comes to mind, reaching out feels simple instead of delayed or forgotten.
When given as a Christmas gift, the first box arrives in early January. It comes at a quieter moment, when the year feels open and unclaimed. From there, the months move forward one card at a time. Birthdays, holidays, milestones, and ordinary days are all part of it.

What is included in each box?
Each monthly box includes:

- Ten USPS Forever postage stamps
- One small analog gift that aligns with the theme of the month

The first box includes ten cards and ten stamps. Monthly deliveries follow the same structure, with the analog gift chosen to complement that month’s cards.
What kind of cards will I receive?
Cards are selected to match upcoming holidays, seasonal moments, milestones, and everyday occasions. Some months may include more than one theme, such as Mother’s Day and Juneteenth in May, or Independence Day and summer greetings in July.
The goal is to ensure you have appropriate cards on hand as the year moves along.
Can I opt out of specific holidays?
Yes. If you would like a particular holiday omitted and replaced with all-occasion cards, please email us at info@belokeehouse.com at least 60 days before that holiday.
Requests received after that window may not be possible once materials have been prepared.
What is the analog gift?
Each month includes one small, practical item chosen to support the act of writing and sending mail. Examples may include a pen, notepad, bookmark, a mug or similar item. Gifts are selected to align with the theme of the month.
Are stamps included?
Yes. Every box includes ten USPS Forever postage stamps so cards can be sent right away.
When will my box ship?
Boxes ship once per month.
- Subscriptions purchased in December begin shipping in early January.
- Subscriptions purchased after December are shipped within 10 days of the order and include materials for the next upcoming month.
How does billing work?
Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically. You may cancel at any time before the next billing cycle.
Is this a physical product?
Yes. The Handwritten Year is a mailed subscription delivered to the address provided at checkout.
Can this be given as a gift?
Yes. The Handwritten Year can be purchased as a gift. When purchased in December, the first box arrives in early January. For subscriptions purchased later in the year, the first box ships within 10 days and reflects the next upcoming month.
